How are cat treats different than dry cat food?
Q. What would make them different? Same size, same flavors (Chicken Delight, Ocean Fish, Whisker-Lickin' Tuna), same texture... My cat acts like it's Christmas when I open the Feline Greenies bag, though. Does he just *think* it's something better because he gets it less frequently than the cat food, which is available regularly? Or is it really different?

A. They're usually a lot higher in fat, which cats find irresistible.

How do you get a cat to eat cat food, when they will only eat people food?
Q. My cat would rather starve himself to death than eat cat food. He has lost about 3 pounds over the past week and a half since he stopped eating cat food. I took him to the vet and they say nothing is wrong with him. Is there any great tasting cat food that I could try to get my cat to eat?

A. Quite frankly, if he gets hungry enough, he'll eat. He's spoiled. Quit feeding him people food. Period. Leave out some dry cat food for him. When he gets hungry he'll eat it. He may try to resist for a few days, or even a week. But he'll give in.

What are the best brands of indoor cat food?
Q. I am considering getting a cat this summer. I would be getting a siberian kitten about 10 weeks old. I had a puppy and fed her the best foods (Blue Buffalo) and now I want to give my cat the best food. I would like a brand that has food adequate for indoor cats and that has both a wet and dry formula. I heard that Felidae, Nutro, Natural Balance and Solid Gold were good brands. I prefer something that is sold in stores. Thanks! I thought it mattered since outdoor cats hunt and...wait...I think you're right!!!
